I remember believing the lie that it was too late for me as a preteen. It was a thought, a whisper, but it stopped me in my tracks.

In my teens, I was told to play it safe, stay close to home and leave those sunny dreams behind.

The lie was reiterated in words in my early twenties. I was a mom “too early” and it was time to focus on my little ones. Give up on my dreams, quit school and get a real job.

Failure in my thirties should have sealed the deal, but GOD!

🏝 I finished grad school while raising my boys, I stayed close to home, but ended up moving with my little ones to California. 🎓 👩‍👦‍👦

I went through an abusive, 4 months of hell marriage but in the same year I married the love of my life! 👰🏽‍♀️🤵🏾‍♂️

I got fired from the best paying job I ever had but God birthed several business through me. 💲

And the little girl who wanted to sing and dance before people now sings and dances for the King! 💃🎶

It’s never too late to be who you want to be! If God has given you breath in your lungs today, it means He still has purpose for your life and that you still have time to fulfill it.

So Go! Lean in to Him and start making those little steps to the person He made you to be!
