God never promised it would be easy, but He did promise it would be worthwhile.
Love this quote. We’ve had a sermon series at church regarding suffering and this quite goes right along with it. Our lives will have suffering and they will not be perfect but God has given us hope in Jesus Christ that it will all be worth it. This scripture comes to mind.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. Romans 8:18 ESV
It is our human nature to avoid pain and suffering and I don’t believe we were ever meant to suffer (thanks Adam and Eve 😆). But we do know that God works all things for the good for those who love Him and are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28
Take solace in this today that whatever you are going through, God will not let it go to waste, but it will develop something in you that could not be otherwise.
